CLAY CREEK GARDENS
Homeowners Association
About Us
Like most homeowners associations, the Clay Creek Gardens HOA manages and maintains community spaces within a neighborhood. But, the Clay Creek Gardens HOA also facilitates the principles on which the Clay Creek Gardens neighborhood was built, promoting the spirit of "new urbanism" -- a concept that encourages walkable communities, compact design with a focus on smaller lots, extensive shared community spaces and homes that encourage neighbors to interact with each other.
As you walk our neighborhood, you'll notice that every home has a covered front porch set close to the sidewalk so residents can communicate with people walking by, a front door that is central to its façade design and a garage that de-emphasizes the architectural dominance of automobile storage by being setback, detached or located at the back of the home. In addition, the overall architectural approach of the neighborhood mirrors the way old historic neighborhoods evolved over time -- instead of a homogenized design approach with a few standardized styles -- you'll find a diverse array of styles in Clay Creek Gardens, including bungalows, colonials, farmhouses and craftsmen-style homes. And, narrow streets with wide sidewalks emphasize pedestrians over cars. The result has been one of Ashland's most desirable neighborhoods, where residents know their neighbors and actively work together to create a kid-friendly, safe and fulfilling place to live and raise a family.
The Clay Creek Gardens HOA board oversees management and maintenance of the community's open spaces, which include a large raised-bed community garden, two open spaces and planting strips in front of individual homes. The Association develops a budget annually, sets dues for the Association (with the goal of keeping them as affordable as possible), interprets and develops HOA policies, enforces HOA CC&Rs, plans for replacement of the HOA's capital assets and conducts events that promote community. The HOA board of directors election is held during an HOA annual meeting. All meetings are announced and open to all HOA members (voting rights) and residents.
